Audi A6 cars

The new Audi A6 is a car larger than the previous Audi A6 and other competitors in fact has a length (4.92 m) much closer to that of an A8 to an A4.

The smaller gasoline engine is 2.4 liters and 177 hp engine capacity. The following versions are all full and traction with Tiptronic automatic change. The most expensive is the 4.2 V8 Quattro Tiptronic.

Only diesel engine available at the moment, the V6 of 3.0 liters and 225 hp power, is only available with traction and total change Tiptronic.

During the second half of 2004 reached three new versions. One is the less powerful of the Audi A6 range, with a diesel engine 2.0 litre and 140 hp power, with manual. This brings the same engine, among others, the Audi A3. The other two versions carry petrol engines available since May, with other gearboxes.

This front will be used in all future versions and Audi models, including the A3 five-door. Moreover, there are very different traits to other Audi models on the market, as the A4 or the A8.

The interior design itself is innovative, because the dashboard takes up a monitor next to the instrumentation (in the A4 is on the console and the A8 is a screen that hides).

The instrumentation and the upper zone of the console form a whole , with the right side slightly oriented driver (a little-style Saab).

There is no element of completely new equipment, but carries serial number that are optional on models of similar size and price. Among them are the automatic parking brake, which is whether or not automatic electromechanical, air conditioning, connecting the lights and wipers connection.



Of these, those are completely new six-cylinder with direct injection, the 3.2 litre petrol and 3.0 l diesel. The other three are engines, with more or less modifications, were already present in the Audi A6 or other Audi models.
